Who is the go to for seiko repair?

Post by sierra11b » Thu Aug 19, 2021 7:14 pm

Friend has a few projects:

1) Modded turtle where the hands now slightly rub therefore stopping the watch

2) 6139 pogue with broken pusher and date mechanism.

3) Citizen nighthawk sapphire crystal replacement

Hopefully I can send them all to one person.

International Watch Works https://www.internationalwatchworks.com/ seems to have a very good reputation as well

I’ll put a mention in for Duarte at NEWW:

Of course I'd start with Terry. I've also used IWW, and Jack is great, but at least when I had my 6105 serviced it was gone for a year. Maybe his turnaround is better now, but I think he's always very busy. I have used Duarte also, and he's good and fast. I've only used him for basic stuff like changing out a seconds hand and crystal, so I can't attest to more involved work, but he's got a good reputation. There's also Spencer Klein. I've never used him, but I bought a 6105 that he had serviced and refurbished, and it was well done. https://kleinvintagewatch.com/

I was told it is a 2 year wait and he isn't taking anymore work.
