My first Tuna…

Post by Wario406 » Sat Dec 11, 2021 12:18 pm

I’ve been very attracted to these since I first saw and heard about them. I realize this is not the most collectible tuna - but, I thought it was pretty cool and I got a great deal on it from a Reddit seller. I’m assuming it was a display model because there isn’t a mark or a mar on it.

I’m very impressed with the way it wears. At 46mm I would have assumed it would feel bigger - but, it wears really small. And, initially I thought it looked small until I compared it to my Marathon 42. It’s kind of a Goldilocks watch… really fits nice and the factory strap is darned comfy too. Looking forward to many happy hours of wearing it.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

There’s a lot of win in those solar Tunas. I’m still blown away by this one. Runs less than two sec/month fast and seconds hand hits all the marks. I don’t know if this is typical, it amazes me.

Congrats on the Solar tuna, great watch! Had the same one a few times and just picked up this version.

I'm pretty fond of mine. The upgraded shroud definitely helps.Image

Is that an upgraded shroud in your pick, or this model has an upgraded shroud?

It’s an interesting watch on the wrist. It wears really small, but still has a cool vibe and is easy to read.

It was an aftermarket upgrade done by the previous owner.

So, how is it different? Different material? It looks exactly like mine.

Congrats, but next time please avoid the clickbait thread title - I was sure this was going to be a "dear penthouse" story with pictures!

It's metal much like the original Tuna.

Nice, I put mine on as well, I was lucky as this was the last one in the Boutique and they told me it had never reached the showroom floor so it's only ever been on my wrist and that's where it will stay.
