this will be the 2022-2023 most flipped watch series.
....and yes, every micro will now be rolling out a version.

I think a Turtle mod with the GMT movement/ rehaut (assuming the dial opening is the same size so the rehaut fits) and a date-only dial would be SWEET. Pretty much the perfect vacation travel watch IMO.

Alternatively, an SKX007 case with the 5KX dial, movement, and hand set would be equally perfect. I just don’t know if the GMT movement would fit into the SKX007 case.
The SKX chapter ring is too small for the Turdle case. There are aftermarket Turdle cases that accept SKX parts, though.

Ok. I got two gmt movements. Now to wait for the dial, hands and maybe other parts. I want to do a turtle gmt.

I may poke around to check that option out.

I tend to nerd out a bit over GMT dive watches that offer the 24 hour scale somewhere discretely on the dial and retain the use elapsed time bezel of a dive watch (which I use often to time things).

There are surprisingly few watches which offer this combination of 3 useful features (date / time, second time zone, elapsed time). When you look at "affordable" options with this combination, I think the only option is the Mido design.
