Seiko Sex Pile
SBDC171 - great legibility, great lume, great versatility, great watch
6105-8000 (1968) - love the applied logo, love the stop light second hand, love the framed date window, love how it wears, love everything about this watch
6309-7040 (1977) - slowly realizing despite the independence of Oris, the horological and historical significance of the Speedmaster the perfection of Grand Seiko or the tech of the DSSD....at the end of the day all we (I) really need is this 6309.
Seiko X Huf Collab SRPJ19 - not into street wear or skate culture that Huf is a huge part of, I just like the colors of the dial, bezel and the 007 case.
6139-6002 (1972) - apparently the Silver is uncommon. R Dial. Roman Date Wheel. Serviced by Spence Klein. Came with the original bracelet but it is too small for my wrist so now mounted on Uncle Seiko.

Re: Seiko Sex Pile
Seeing the 6105-8000 next to the modern version we both have is making me want to keep mine.
Solid group.

Re: Seiko Sex Pile
I thought maybe you had found a crucial part of Seiko history I had missed.
Great collection. I wish I had your restraint.
Re: Seiko Sex Pile
It’s really nice with the blacked out markers and hands.

Re: Seiko Sex Pile
Killing me with these awesome watches! Been trying to tell myself that I only need my green Willard, but I've been wanting a 6105 for years, not to mention I keep looking at the SBDC171.
I started this hobby going down the Seiko rabbit hole, probably fitting that I go down it again..

The GS Spring Drive divers are outstanding. It’s actually the watch I dive with most. Super legible and my favorite bezel of any watch I’ve owned. I really prefer the OG Seiko dials of the first generation. They’re a decent value if you can find one, and can be serviced by the Mahwah, NJ service center.
SBGA029 was the stainless black dial, and the Ti black dial was SBGA031 (and this blue dial is the LE).

I would second the recommendation for the GS Diver. One of the best watches I have ever used, it has the looks, accuracy and utility. Perfect IMODjf1978 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:14 pmSo cool man. RMM, I wanna see the white dial on a tire tread strap
And it’s your dive pics that got me hooked on a Hirsch for the GS. The bracelet is nice with the MM300 style clasp. But it’s so good on that strap.
