Kangaroo leather is lighter and stronger than the hide of a cow or goat. It has 10 times the tensile strength of cowhide and is 50% stronger than goatskin. As far as I recall some companies used to make soccer shoes out of that leather.

Good info Carlo. That is why I was hoping that it would still be strong and thin enough to fit through the stock hardware. Since most leather straps wouldn't be able to have both of those attributes.carlodwc wrote:Kangaroo leather is lighter and stronger than the hide of a cow or goat. I got some more info and I will share it tomorrow. He has a limited amount right now and I made some changes to the straps since these don't have enough buckle holes. But we will get something started asap.
Cool?

Terry, if there's any way your guy can/will do one of these in an 18mm tan, I would take that also. I think it would nice on my 6139s.

I talked to my vendor and he informed me the 20mm is actually more of a 21mm. So I took the one I have and measured it last night and he is right. But for grins I tried it on my 20mm watches and it did NOT looked cramped. So these will be perfect for 20-21mm watches.matt.wu wrote:I kinda want 21mm for the Nomos. What do you think the custom make would cost?
He has a leather stamper/template/cutter so they will be the same size no matter what.

Do you know if the 18mm also runs a bit wide? Wondering how it would look...toxicavenger wrote:I talked to my vendor and he informed me the 20mm is actually more of a 21mm. Mike let me ask him. I really don't know since I didn't buy one of those yet.gonzomantis wrote:Do you know if the 18mm also runs a bit wide?
