a few oldies... early XW UDT, an original Raven from Jeff the Watchdude (now with Resco?), a Marcello C Yao/IWW mod, Kemmner Sub and Kazi 1500... POOF!

Re: “Vintage” Micro
My first micro when I got back in the watch game around 2011 was an Ocean 7 LM-3. I thought it was so cool at the time.

Those Hexa’s were a pretty solid watch. Overpriced when they first came out, but a nice watch otherwise.gonzomantis wrote:A few I still have lurking about.

Re: “Vintage” Micro
nice ones Peter ---- that Raven received a lot of positive reviews - If I recall it just clipped Yao's Kingston in terms of timing. I forgot about Marcello C...... and I also had a Kemmner. I had exchanged several emails with Roland Kemmner. He does/did a lot of the work for Eddie. I know it was mentioned he worked for Fricker, but in communicating with Kemmner I got the impression he "sourced" for Fricker, Eddie, and his own brand. Meaning he arranged the suppliers in Asia and did all the QC.

Last night, I sold my last micro, which probably qualifies as "vintage."

Ocean-7. Never should have sold it.
Re: “Vintage” Micro
Ocean 7 was all the rage back in the day. I went to an 07 GTG in NYC years ago.

I know. It's a disease.
Re: “Vintage” Micro
Really? That sucks. Years ago I bought one for my buddy who’s a pilot. He still wears it.

Korsbek is what brought me into DWC. Loved it and wish I still had it.
Then I got an Ocean7 lm3v2(?).
Loved that too.

Re: “Vintage” Micro
O7 had a good early run. The LM-1 was a great watch and people went crazy for it. There were a few others that were good (lm-2, the lm-1 redesign and maybe a couple of others).
But there was a big falling out with them, and don’t remember what exactly happened. I do remember the 58 click bezel ploprof.
Are they even still around?

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
