Stowa Prodiver?

Post by Audy » Fri Jun 24, 2022 1:01 pm

i know most folks here do more flipping than a cook at IHOP, so I'm looking for some opinions on the prodiver. Thinking of getting one in white. Heard that it wears bigger and doesn't have great bezel action. Anyone still have one in their collection?
Been wanting another titanium diver and don't see too much in the $2K price bracket. I missed the boat on $2500 2-liner pelagos and $3K 8500 POs.

Thanks for the help!

I saw the lime one at a Worn & Wound NYC show. I tried it on my 6.5 inch wrist, and it didn't seem too large. I saw the white as well, but I wasn't as impressed with it as the lime version. I guess everything seems a little bland next to so much color.

Had two, great watches, large (to me). Wears very flat but not bad IMO.

I’ve owned several and enjoyed them all. See if you can get several different bezels to change the look.

Same here; preferred straps over the bracelet.

Owned one a long time ago. Loved the design. Wore a little long and blocky on the wrist, especially with the bracelet which has protruding end links.

I never “got“ this one. Tried one once for a week or so and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever.

I owned the grey dial years ago (2002?) and enjoyed it. The dial was killer. I think they are titanium now, which would make it more of a keeper, as I found it a bit heavy.

Thanks for all the input guys.
Sounds like it's something I need to get on my wrist to see if it works for me. I'll keep my eye out for a used one to try.
Gotta admit the good exchange rate is driving this decision rather than the need for another watch. But I guess I wouldn't be here if I made rational purchases?

I have the Stowa Seatime, essentially the same visually, same diameter and lug to lug as well. It does wear large, but, nothing looks like it!
