New Le Jour Le Mans Chronograph

Post by AtomicTom » Sat Jul 30, 2022 4:30 pm

I’m thinking you guys saw this, but did everyone see Le Jour's new Le Mans
Chronograph recently?

This watch, or watches will have 42mm cases, cool, and colorful bezels,
as well as dials. Plus nice contrasting sub-dials, the Sellita SW500 automatic
chronograph movement, plus Oyster style bracelets also.

Just a few pictures...

I really dislike the lack of actual dial markers.

i like both version of the gray dials. the opal dial might look sick in person. i could see myself wearing the gray/gold version.

Nice looking, not sure about 17mm though.

I think it’s mostly due to the 7750-copy movement. Every chrono I’ve seen using this movement (or derivative of the movement) has been pretty thick.

My Hamilton is 15 or 16mm thick and it doesn’t have a domed crystal nor 200m of water resistance.

I have a “kinda want” feeling about this one ever since Art bought one last year. I’m just torn because as much as I like the thought of a 200m water resistant chrono, I realize I’d probably never use the chrono feature due to the screw down pushers.

Very thick and heavy. Bubble back and domed crystal felt like a ball on the wrist.

I have grown to totally not be a chrono guy. I simply find them too busy and not easily legible.

This lejour isn't too bad legibility wise, although after seeing the dial marker comments, I totally agree, that's an interesting look.

That being said they are pretty nice look! Just not my particular taste.
