Some pics of the Vertex M36

Here's the new 36mm version. Same great lume blocks. Some slight font and case shape changes form the 40mm version. Seems a bit closer to the original.

It looks great but kind of pricey.

I thought so too, initially. But I paid over 600 bucks some years back for a Buzz Rickson’s MA-1 jacket, so I kind of understand the market for this sort of reproduction.

Excluding VAT it's about $2,300 including shipping. I would compare it to some of the nicer micro brand Fliegers, like a Laco Flieger Pro, or a Stowa. Those prices vary, but are mostly around $1,200.

Here you do get the domed crystal, the 3D lume plots, and some nice finishing touches, like the cap over the central hour/minute hands. They're probably not worth the $1,100 premium, but then again, we all spend too much on watches anyway.

Having owned the M100 I can say the watches are significantly nicer than one would expect and definitely worth the premium.

I do wish they had done the screw lugs and screw-down crown on the M100.

Sadly, I’m sure 36mm would be too small for me.

Can you still only buy these if you get a “referral”?

That was only the very first M100. The models after that are open to all.

$2800 for that? No way.
