In-house manual wind Caliber P.6000 movement, 45mm
PAM000754 logo, $4000
PAM000753 logo/Black Seal $4300
Good looking watches. Prices seem very reasonable.

Hodinkee says sandwich but they look like sausage to me. I think Panerai reserves the sandwich dial for their higher end watches these days.

Yeah it's disappointing they dropped sandwich dial from all of their 8-day luminor models

To be honest I really like the look of the sausage dials. I specifically wanted a 000 because of the painted dial and the solid back.

I like both and have both, I just know it was a cost cutting move is why it irritates me

They didn't lower MSRP when they switched to sausage

The price point here is actually pretty reasonable for a PAM with an in-house movement - less than the cost of a PAM000 with ETA movement several years ago - so the choice of sausage dial doesn't seem unreasonable.

Those are nice. They don't get enough credit for their in-house movements, which are great.

I wish there was a $4,000 Luminor that didn’t have spring bars and the shitty case.

PAM590, 44mm, 8 day in-house hand-wound movement.
Is there anyone with a more affordable 8 day movement? I've never actually checked.

I'd love 560q series. Only 1 year with the sandwich dial.

Not that I can think of.

Umm, you could pick up one of the greatest Luminors ever, with a sandwich dial, from a great seller, for not much more

I’ve never warmed to the larger models. The 44mm case is absolutely perfect for me. The 372 will always be one of those watches I admire on other people.

Oris has a 10 day movement for like 3k new. That’s the cheapest I can think of.

For some reason I don’t mind the “cheapening” of the base model Rads nearly as much as the Luminors.

I wish these weren’t Richemont.

I've owned five Panerais (still own four) and have never had an issue with any of them, including the in-house movements. I have three JLCs and one did develop an issue soon after I bought it but JLC service had it back on my wrist quickly and it's been perfect since. No issues with any of the IWCs I've owned. But I understand how a negative experience like the one you had could be a turn-off (my one negative experience with Sinn soured me on the brand). Great price for these Radiomirs, though, and really good looking watches.

I was surprised how much I liked the Radiomir case when I had a ceramic one for a minute. I'm pretty sure I need a SS Rad one day

I like the Black Seal model. Neither appear to be on their website.

Agreed on the new ones. I also owned several Panerai and only experienced the one problem. That said, having problems with an IWC, a Panerai, and the recent JLC - all the result of poor QC and the Dallas service center - adds up to a big “never again” for me.
