I'm going to get the 3. They have the same stats minus battery size and FHD va QHD screens. I'll sacrifice a little in screen pixels for the size.

Bummed there is not sd slot. That's could be a deal breaker for me.

What do you need an SD slot for with all the cloud storage available these days? Seems like a big liability. I don't even buy the largest capacity phones anymore because it's not necessary.

not for pics etc, but i like to download netflix and spotify content onto my phone. That plus all the email attachments and OS take up quite a bit.

I think I'm gonna stick with my Pixel XL for a while. Still works very well for my needs. Almost paid off with the Verizon payment plan as well. It would have to be a smoking deal to get a new one.

i do think if I upgrade from the Pixel XL, I will probably just go with the smaller Pixel 3. Same screen size as the Pixel XL but a little smaller overall size.

just ordered (2) Pixel 3XLs, got one of them free, 2 free Pixel Stands and waived upgrade fee....not bad for a call to Verizon!

Yeah but was simple as they let me open a new number for my wife and cancel her other line. She didn't care about having a new number. Also gave us 2 pixel stands and waived fees etc. Great deal.

PIXEL 3 XL Landed, setting it up now. Build quality seems very very good. much lighter weight than my S8 plus.

I will say in 1 day of use, I'm duly impressed. This especially true of the camera....I thought I had a great camera before on Galaxy but shit the pixel 3 blows it away. And some more cool features coming to the camera soon according to googles announcement a few weeks back. I highly recommend it for anyone looking.

Super buttery smooth operation, just unlike any other device I've had. Also I love that the settings menu is so bare. All the Samsung shit etc is gone making it very easy to change settings etc.

once you go pure android it is hard to go back. The camera on my OG pixel XL still impresses me after about 2 years.

how is the size? I am thinking I may just go with the regular Pixel 3 when the price drops a bit instead of the XL. The Pixel 3 screen size is the same as my Pixel XL but the overall dimensions are smaller due to less bezel which I would like. The only hesitation would be the smaller battery.

so dimensionally its about the same height as my galaxy s8 plus and a tad bit wider. That said, its significantly lighter weight which i like a lot. Battery is good but not great yet, but will take more testing. Certainly get you through a whole day but not much more. This doesnt matter as everyone charges their phones at night i assume when sleeping. i do notice that the stereo front speakers are not evenly volume adjusted as the larger one at bottom puts out more sound than the top. This is by design according to google......why I am not quite sure.
