Can’t connect iPhone 10 to Mac photos to upload pictures

Anyone else have this problem? I wish I had kept my old phone! What’s the point if your shit doesn’t work?

I use a usb cable to connect directly to my Mac and it never fully connects. It’ll briefly connect for a second, disconnect, and repeat that over and over. Sometimes I see the “trust device” prompt, but it’s only there for a split second and never lets me press the button.

I’ve tried four different usb cables, too.

If I’m hopeless is there a device I can use to transfer my hundred of videos and photos, then connect that device to the Mac?

Sounds like a driver issue or, possibly and iCloud issue.
I would restart both your phone and Mac and try again.
If it doesn’t work, maybe try some diagnostics, and see if everything is working properly.
