That's a pretty combo. I think the BB58 is the best "not expensive" watch in the world right now. I'll probably finally buy one if they fit the glidelock to the SS version, like the new bronze one.

I daily wore the black one for 18 months before selling for a 16600. Sold the SD and went back to try another 58. Perfect daily watch and like you said, cheap enough that I don’t feel like babying it. Never had an issue with the bracelet as is but maybe I’m lucky on size. Appreciate the thin clasp vs the bulkier Rolex clasps.

The tudor Glidelock is a lot smaller than the Rolex one. It’s a better design I think. I’m just picky about bracelet fit. I have a small and very lean wrist. If it were bigger less bony I bet less perfect sizing would wouldn’t be so painful.

I like how my 16600 wears, but it's definitely not a "strap it on and forget it" watch. Those deep case backs work better for fat guys, since they did in to the blubber.

I visited my local AD for the first time in years. Last time I was there they had subs and seadweller, explores, sky dwellers and every Rolex you can imagine. This time, only this single watch in a big empty case:



But, they had a lot of Tudor to select from and I got to handle a BB58 for the first time.

I’m pretty set that a black 58 will be my graduation gift to myself in a few years.

same. i loved the sd but it ate my bony ass wrist up. kind of like the seiko mm did.

And the blue for color reference. Wears like a NATO but closer to the skin.

If there is a downside, in the short time wearing it the side with the loop seems to want to loosen over time, very quickly. May have to superglue the loop together or something.

If you put on the wrist tight it will loosen up just a hair to make it fit perfectly. the strap needs to break in a little to keep it from moving. i washed mine in the sink with some water to move the break-in process forward.

I tried ironing the crease into it. So far it is staying in place now.

If you put on the wrist tight it will loosen up just a hair to make it fit perfectly. the strap needs to break in a little to keep it from moving. i washed mine in the sink with some water to move the break-in process forward.

if you adjust it to have the extra nylon to tuck it then you can.

This is something I've been wanting for a while. I like the canvas/nato look but I hate the way "under the bottom" style raises watches off my wrist.
