Detroit Mint Watches

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Nov 04, 2021 9:01 am

Hey everyone, ever heard of Detroit Mint watches? ..Honestly just found
out about them.

They have multiple styles from bullheads like their Mach, and Mechanic, to
diver's styles like their Turtle Caretta, and Rally Diver. And you even have
sport, and dress watches as well. With many coming with your choice of
automatic, or quartz movements, not to mention different strap, or bracelet
options too.

Just some of their watches guys...

Yep, just look like a bunch of badly modified Seiko's using Yobokies parts.

No idea who would want a modified Turtle with "Detroit Mint" on the dial when you can buy the genuine Seiko for not much more.

So you are kind of liking these ones then guys?!

:) Honestly, had seen them pop up as a recommendation over on ebay,
and then decided to visit their site. Had thought I would give a report
on them afterwards. The bullhead was what got me to tell the
truth. But then the Caretta Turtle had some eye-catching combinations
with them as well. ..Just thought they were fun once again everyone.

Really appreciate everybody sharing their thoughts, as well as you telling
it like it is ! :salute:

Is there a city named Detroit in China? Geez, now they copy entire cities? I might have chosen a different city to copy.

Nothing Chinese or cheap about it.
Site is owned and operated by David Diegel, very experienced manufacturer and materials specialist. It seems like the company is just a passion project of his, reviving some vintage designs. All of them seem to be solid pieces.

Did you sign up here to comment on a 3 year old post and imply that this gentleman is machining these cases at some previously unknown facility in the US?
