“Sotheby” an old Norman word meaning “more money than sense”. An alternative meaning is “money is not the same as taste”.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

More like the Dominos Air King that used to be hard to sell at $2k and is now selling for $10k+

On the one hand, the prices that run of the mill Rolex models are commanding these days is ridiculous.

On the other, it makes the "I hate Rolex" crowd completely lose their shit and mumble to themselves things like "my Panerai/Omega/Grand Seiko is way better," so I'm all for it in that respect.

Oh man, those were evidently important Andrew ! :o 8-)

It's crazy just seeing the prices, but at least we got to see the watches. :)

By the way, I was on the same page as Jason, and thought a few of those
were possibly misprints. ..Amazing stuff, thanks so so much for the look !!!

For some consolation they saw a Seamaster 300 go for almost 37.8 k and a gold one go for 40k.

Some bargains to be had if your in the Musk/Bezos league...
Strength is = 2 or > than "tipping over a so- called smart car plastered in “Coexist” bumper stickers".

Except that an Apple Watch is probably their timepiece of choice.
