The Waiting Sucks

My bypass surgery was scheduled for 8am this morning with a 5am hospital arrival.

Around 4:15 this morning, I was in the shower using the anti-bacterial sponges when the phone rang.

It was one of my surgeons calling to let me know that it looks like he might have an emergency surgery to
perform that would postpone my surgery. He asked if I wanted to reschedule then.

I told him that seeing how he wasn't sure, I would come to the hospital, anyway.

I went through a good part of pre-op, in the gowns, IV hook-up in place when he came to tell me my surgery wasn't happening today.

Hopefully, it will be scheduled for this Thursday - waiting to hear back from the hospital.


I'm ok, but my wife is not.
