Help Needed - Doxa Sub Crown Winding Issue

Post by Themelis » Sat May 18, 2024 8:44 am

Hi all, I have the following question and would be grateful if the more knowledgable members here could help me.
I have a few Doxas, but in a recently bought new 300T I can feel the crown having winding action when I screw in the crown. This is not the case with my other Doxas (all modern).
To be more precise, the crown is operating as normal, not stuck or anything, but when you press the crown in to lock it tight the winding mechanism still occours - just like when the crown is in position 1 (where 0 is locked in, 1 is uncrewed and winding, 2 is adjusting date, and 3 is adjusting time.)
On the other hand, I checked two non-doxa divers with 2824 (Glycine combat sub, Steinhart) and they do have that winding action during crown screw down, but not my other Doxas.
Does this happen to any of your modern Doxas?

Not just Doxa. It could be anything from the stem being cut a little short. Not a big deal, but if it bothers you I would send it in for warranty work.

Thanks for the reply! So you have Doxas with this crown behaviour?
