Will this fit?

Post by snootydog » Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:39 am

I can't find a definitive answer on the internet so I need your help please. Will this strap that says for Seamaster 300 fit properly on my Planet ocean? Both are 20mm but I'm not sure the spring bar holes would line up the same.

My guess is no, plus I think that strap also needs the Omega deployant (though you can find copies) which adds to the price.

I *think* I tried one of my 300m rubber straps on my 2500 PO a while ago and it did not work. When I change straps on my 2500 next time I will verify.

These are expensive, but much less than real OEM straps - https://zealande.com/products/rubber-st ... 4048256258 really nice, but again not cheap (though they have 20% off sales periodically).

Much cheaper (though not fitted), I own a couple of them - https://straphabit.com/products/deploya ... 5300495513. - a little thin, but not bad, Omega *like* deployant works well.

This is the Straphabit one on my PO, it's not as nice as the Zealande, but it's 1/4 the price (and in case it's confusing, it comes with a deployant clasp though they give you the option to buy a deployant clasp too on the same page):

Thanks Rob,good thing I checked.
Any strap I get must be a curved end one as I hate a gap showing the case. I've been looking at Zealande straps already and knew you are a fan of them. They have 20% off until the 28th so I need to decide quickly.
On the other hand, knowing full well I'll probably wear it on the bracelet mostly so maybe a cheap eBay rubber strap is better.

I've decided on this canvas strap from Liger, with curved ends and deployant clasp. Downside is the 5 week wait as they are handmade to order. As for rubber,I'll get a reasonably priced black one off eBay for now and if I really like it I'll upgrade to a better quality one.
That's the plan anyway

That looks killer.
