I haven’t found photos of the Vulcain on natos, so I figured I’d give it a go. Not great lighting tonight indoors, but some shots on the new straps from C&B.

They make a turquoise dial?

I didn't see that on the Vulcain website.

It was a limited run collab, so not on website.

It is such a simple formula when you think of it. Reasonable size case, larger size dial, narrow bezel, and domed sapphire crystal.

Obviously, there is more to it, but the basic formula is one that seems to have been forgotten over the years.

FWIW, it is one of the reasons I like my SLA017.

Now that you mention it, that is why I liked my SLA017 so much and always had an eye out for another. Obviously the Seiko is much more expensive, but the overall design cues are similar.

To say I’m more pleased than expected would be an understatement.

I’ve been on the fence since this model was released. Your pics really are making me want to get one and size should work for me given how it looks on your wrist.
I love the BOR bracelet on it the most or tropic strap.

The BoR bracelet is also less expensive than the vintage Y-link, which adds to the value. Check eBay and Chrono24 and you’ll find some on BoR. Some eBay sellers will send you a lower price offer after you’ve had one on your watchlist for a few days.

The blue looks great too. I sort of like the salmon dial too. I'll have one of these someday, and I'd most likely go with a tropic strap.

^^^ Love the look of the GMT version, but I am nervous about the Soprod movement (once bitten twice shy) and I wish it was an independently adjustable hour hand, not GMT hand.

With my kid going to school in Dublin, Ireland this fall, I am in the market for a new GMT and this might be it.

If I wanted a GMT I’d probably look elsewhere, like Tudor, but I prefer the 3-hander for its more period correct charm.

I've got the same concerns about Soprod movements. Too many negative stories out there regarding their quality for me to feel good about buying one.

Odd that Vulcain went with the ETA 2824 for the three-hander, but not the ETA 2893-2 for the GMT.

I have been looking for another Oris 65 Diver 40mm, and this Vulcain would fit the itch of a skin diver nicely. I like both versions.

Regarding the GMT, agree with the other BOD’s, get a Tudor 58 GMT or a Black Bay Pro for what you want. Not a better true traveller GMT for the price. Another option is the Longines Spirit Zulu line.

Just in. LE of 50 for Oracat Jewelers. Stellar.
Definitely scratches my itch for the OP41 Turquoise.

Thanks Mike, it’s pretty awesome in person.

I originally planned to get the Arroway mesh for my black one, but they are sold out in the long size. My mesh photos are on an unbranded eBay Omega copy.

Seriously considering the Vulcain beads-of-rice for the black dial, since it has quick adjust clasp too. Still looks good I think.

I also really like the salmon dial, but only with the white markers. On the website it appears Vulcain only has salmon with aged markers and that’s not a combo I like.
