They don't have too many sales-especially on Alden-but they have a big selection. They also have an irregular list that they email out for Aldens where you save $100s on them. You have to sign up for it along with your size and about once a month they email out their stock in that size.

Good selection of RW Heritage collection.
has 20%(occasionally 25% and 30%) all the time with free shipping. From what I've seen they have all the sizes too unlike Onlinshoes.com in my experience.

Truth. Chipps on the way, just ordered Aldins and just about to pull the trigger on Beckmans. Dead man.

But I can use the line that three pair of boots cost was than one of my average watch purchase and will last longer (I flip watches quite often, it seems).

Yep. Luckily, having been away for 5 weeks, I have a bit of TD (Temporary Duty) money coming my way, which will pay for two of the three. And the watches thing is on hold for the foreseeable future, so this works out ... I hope.

I am not getting the Aldins and the Beckmans delivered until just before or just after Xmas, and will not let her know if they show up before Xmas Day.

I dropped a good chunk of my watch fund on her at Tiffany's for Xmas, so I figure that if I can just make it to Xmas morning, I will be okay for a couple of months, at least. It's just a balancing act to get to Xmas morning without things imploding ... and me being subsequently eviscerated.

Well after you order a certain brand /style so many times you get pretty good at what size you need lol.
Plus it helps to order from a place that has a good return policy. Some will even pay shipping back to them, so I'd you get wrong size exchange them.
It might take a week or so them between shipping back to get right size bit normally the online prices are us much better than store prices. Plus majority of boots I buy I can't find a store that carries them anywhere.

Zappos is great but I feel like everything I want is always full price. I did save $60 on pair of UGGs for my wife the other day though.
