Fat spring bar question
I believe someone has asked this in the past but does anyone know where to get a spring bar the size of a Seiko Fat
but with ends that will fit into a smaller lug hole?
thanks.

Hank. twente(0) on eBay.
Re: Fat spring bar question
Well I need to know the opposite. What's the best place to buy skinny bars with fat ends that fit Seiko lug holes? Planning on using it for an iso on the Tuna. My Wjean ones feel a little wimpy.

I use his 22mm bar with 1.2 tips. Fits both the Isofrane and Seiko perfectly.

Awesome, thanks!

Can you really not fit an ISO on regular Seiko bars?

Re: Fat spring bar question
You can fit an ISO on regular Seiko bars. However, the fit is so tight, if you catch the watch on your backpack while you're putting it over your shoulder, you could (hypothetically) pull the band right off the watch and see it go crashing down onto a wooden deck in spectacular fashion.JP Chestnut wrote:Can you really not fit an ISO on regular Seiko bars?

Re: Fat spring bar question
That's unfortunate. Is it an ISO thing, or are the bars so fat they catch on every non-Seiko strap?JBZ wrote:You can fit an ISO on regular Seiko bars. Re: Fat spring bar question
This exact thing happened to me with a 009 and ISO in the ocean last summer. Glanced my leg and it popped right off. Luckily I caught it. Ever since then I've used the aforementioned bars.JBZ wrote:You can fit an ISO on regular Seiko bars. Re: Fat spring bar question
Not sure - never tried it on anything other than the ISO. Also, I was using a 20mm ISO, which could have been part of the problem with the gap between the strap and the lugs. Still, I'd never put a Seiko on an ISO again without using different bars. The watch ended up being fine.JP Chestnut wrote:That's unfortunate. Re: Fat spring bar question
My Seiko bars got stuck in 22mm ISO, took forever to get the out

After destroying two Seiko fat bars that were stuck in an Iso I make sure to use only Hank's bars or the Watch Gecko bars Danny mentioned in non Seiko straps

Re: Fat spring bar question
My shogun spring bars are fat like little sausages. Just licked the bar and it slid in to the ISO. Ok, I'm sure a joke is coming but you get the idea
Re: Fat spring bar question
The ones I mentioned are perfect for the Seiko + Isofrane combo. Seriously perfect.
Re: Fat spring bar question
No joke, but I just had a giggle envisioning you licking spring bars.koda240 wrote:My shogun spring bars are fat like little sausages. Just licked the bar and it slid in to the ISO. Ok, I'm sure a joke is coming but you get the idea

These are the 22mm 2.0mm diameter 1.0mm tips. If you need other sizes go into his "store" and search like this; "20 2.0 1.2" of whatever spec you're looking for.Marjak wrote:I can't find him on EBay....can someone please post a link to his EBay store? Re: Fat spring bar question
just ordered from Hoppy's guy and will report back when the bars get in.
I use Harold's BOR bracelet on some non-Seiko watches and Harold's end links are all drilled to accept only 2mm bars. In the past I used heat shrink tubing to build up standard bars, but these could be a much better / non-ghetto solution.

Re: Fat spring bar question
Heat shrink sounds like a good solution to me. Going to remember that.
